Mike Flynn

Mike took his first Yoga class in 2003 and in 2011 completed his teacher training at the Chula Vista Yoga Center. He has continued his education with certifications in Yoga for Veterans with PTSD, Restorative/Yin Yoga and classes at Loyola Marymount University.
Mike’s classes are demanding and kind. They are intended to help others shift and change perspective of their physical and internal worlds.

Beyond the mat Mike is a graduate of the University of San Diego. He is an avid traveler and songwriter.

Mike is an ERYT-200.



Mike Flynn instructs the following:
  • Morning Energy Flow
  • Revitalize with this all-levels vinyasa session, non-heated class that is designed to emphasize on uniting the breath and movement. This class will not only help you create heat in your body but will also leave you feeling reenergized by calming your mind, opening your heart, your hips and more!

  • Vinyasa + Restorative Yoga
  • This non-heated class allows all-levels of students to work on their "yang" practice in a Vinyasa where postures are focused on lengthening and strengthening the muscles. The Restorative part of this class will be focusing on the "yin" part of yoga--where students could focus on the deeper connective tissues and joints through deep and supported stretches. (75min. class)

  • Mixed Vinyasa -Non-Heated
  • This non-heated Vinyasa Flow class welcomes yogis of all levels. This class uses a variety of postures to cultivate balance, flexibility, strength and endurance. Vinyasa Flow encourages students to move into and out of postures safely. There is a strong emphasis on correct alignment using the breath and meditation to quiet the mind in order to attain peace and stillness. This class will take you through sun salutations, standing poses, balancing postures, seated and reclining postures, backbends and core strengthening.
